Playthings – Toy of the Week

January 7, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

playthingsEric and I just got back from a much needed two week holiday and we are looking forward to an exciting year for myWallaby. To start things off on the right note, myWallaby was just chosen for PlaythingsToy of the Week feature. Thanks Playthings! We are very honored to have been chosen for this distinction by this highly regarded trade publication. Especially since we are focusing our attention in 2010 on getting the Agile Bag into retail stores.

A little background information on this prestigious publication…

Playthings, founded in 1903, is the leading U.S. trade magazine covering the children’s toy industry. We have a rich and vivid tradition of editorial coverage:

* We were the magazine of record when ‘Teddy’ bears became popular with American children during the first years of the 20th century.
* We were there, in 1945, to report on the first and only time in the 96-year history of the American International Toy Fair that the event was canceled, due to World War II
* We reported in depth about a ‘fashion doll’ introduced on March 9, 1959, named ‘Barbie.’

Our history and editorial expertise makes us particularly well-equipped to understand the dynamic and mercurial world of modern toys.
